Sports Academy are dedicated to giving back to our community. For this reason we welcome proposals from groups who feel our expertise can help their work. In 2009 we dedicated our time and staff to planning and managing a weekend training camp for a St Theresa's juvenile GAA club from Belfast, Ireland. The trip was a huge success and led to many revolutionary experiences. The first time several of the the St Theresa's players got the chance to milk a cow was chief amongst these!!!

Lifelong friends were made and great experiences shared. All in all exactly what Sports Academy are about. Please enjoy the following letter from St Theresas GAA club.

"A chara, On behalf of Cumann Naomh Treasa CLG I would like to thank the staff of Sports Academy for the time and effort they put into our visit to Ballyea, County Clare in March this year.

Last March, as a result of contacts with Tony Griffin, St Teresa's, Belfast brought a squad of U16 hurlers to Clare for a weekend hurling clinic. Four managers and mentors travelled with the squad.

On our arrival in Ballyea, on Friday evening, we were warmly welcomed and our players taken care of with first class hospitality.

We  travelled to St Flannans, Ennis on the Saturday where the St Teresa's squad was put through an intense and vigorous training session by Sports Academy staff.

This entailed both physical training and skill based hurling drills which were of a different level from what our players would be used to.

The professionalism and manner of the Sports Academy instructors was first class and the experience was clearly of a benefit to the St Teresa's squad.

Not only did our players benefit from the training the whole experience contributed to building a team spirit that carried this squad to Divisional and All-County championship wins.

We at St Teresa's would not hesitate in recommending Sports Academy to any organisation or club seeking to develop their players and look forward to working with Sports Academy in the future.

Indeed we at Cumann Naomh Treasa are in the process of organising further trips to Clare in conjunction with Sports Academy.

Is Mise le meas Peadar O'Faol in Chairperson Juvenile Committee St Teresa's Belfast."
